Sunday 8th February - University of Worcester Round-Up

It was a good evening's football in the University of Worcester Sunday 6 a side league this week, with all teams in attendance throughout the night as scheduled and some well competed matches played.  The only exception to this was Ballerz in Division Three who'll be spoken to accordingly.

We welcome new team Inter Ya Nan to the league on Sunday 15th February, we wish these good luck going into their first fixture.

In Division 1, The Bellenders emerged victorious against CAFT DUNTS FC in a nail-biting match, with a final score of 4-3. The night also saw Giroud Awakening triumph over LEAVEMYARSELONA with a solid 3-1 win. Meanwhile, La Familia and Jota Than The Sun offered a thrilling performance, ending in a 3-3 draw.

Division 2 was equally exciting. Ball Of Duty dominated against WeDontHaveAkalou with a 6-1 victory. In a closely contested match, Tin Foil Hats FC just managed to edge out Broken Ankles, scoring 3-2. Reckless Ballbashers won 1-0 against Murder On Zidanes Floor, and PLJ FC tied 4-4 with Pique Blinders.

Division 3 saw an evenly fought match between Sin And Tonic FC and Brom FC that ended in a 2-2 draw, while Right Back Out Of The Way defeated Granny Bashers with a 5-3 win.

While the league has just started, it's clear that tensions are rising and every team is determined to come out on top. The top scorers for each division are yet to be officially announced, but with the quality of play witnessed in this initial week, we are certain to see some impressive statistics as the season progresses.
