Maidstone Wednesday 6 a side news 2025-07-09

In a week packed with excitement and exceptional performances, teams from Division 1 and Division 2 clashed in the 11th week of the ongoing Maidstone Wednesday Football League.

Division 1

Saw some highly competitive match-ups. Brenchley Faithful demonstrated their excellent form with a commanding 5-1 victory over McGinn And Tonic. Despite the defeat, McGinn And Tonic showed flashes of brilliance throughout the match and will surely bounce back in the forthcoming weeks. Another thrilling encounter happened between Borussia Teeth and Hangover 96, with the latter eking out a 4-3 victory in what was a nail-biting affair. The Mighty Minors and Shed VI also tussled, with Shed VI ultimately triumphing with a 3-2 scoreline.

The star player in Division 1 was indisputably Hangover 96's Max Butler, who found the back of the net twice, thereby making him the top scorer of the week in this division.

Division 2

The matches were just as intense. Get The Badge In and Schindlers Assist played to a 3-3 draw in a game that had fans on the edge of their seats. Hardly Athletic FC had a close encounter with Chunky CF, eventually losing 3-2. Bottle Job FC clinched a decisive 4-1 victory over They See Me Brolin, while Big Diesels dominated the pitch with an 8-1 triumph over Romasexuals. In another engaging match, Youths FC outshined 863 FC with a 5-2 win.

Max from Big Diesels outclassed his competitors in Division 2 by scoring an impressive total of five goals, earning himself the title of the week's top scorer in the division.

As the season continues, all participating teams are showing great spirit and sportsmanship. With the level of talent on display, the coming weeks promise more fierce contests and breathtaking football action. Join our Maidstone 6 a side league at the link below or get in touch on 07969 731086 for more information.
