In a thrilling climax to the season, the Maidstone Wednesday 6-a-side football league completed its final week of fixtures last night, with SFM and Real Sosobad emerging as champions of the Premier League and Division 1 respectively.
Premier League
In the Premier League, the battle for supremacy was fierce. McFred triumphed over 2 Pints And Paqueta in a high scoring match, ending with a resounding 10-3 victory. The top scorer for the division, Max, was in exceptional form, scoring an impressive four goals this week for McFred.
Not to be outdone, LadsOnToure triumphed over Mustard FC with a 7-3 score, while Add Name and Romasexuals ended their contest in a 3-3 draw. Other matches saw SFM defeat Philmecrackin Fc 5-2, and Brenchley Faithful outscore They See Me Brolin 4-1.
Division 1
Division 1 saw some equally exciting match-ups, with Real Sosobad securing the title with 17 points from 8 wins. In It For The Cardio lost 2-3 to Big Diesels in a closely fought match, while Debden FC squeezed out a 4-3 win over Out On Bale. Other key fixtures included Slippery Balls United beating Bonnies Blues 3-1, while Bottle Job FC lost out 1-2 to Real Sosobad. The top scorer for Division 1 was Bobby from Big Diesels, who stood out with his two-goal contribution this week.
