Maidstone Wednesday 6 a side news end of season

The eagerly anticipated 18th and final week of the Maidstone Wednesday 6-a-side Football League resulted in a thrilling showcase of football, with LadsOnToure claiming victory in Division 1 and Chunky CF seizing the top spot in Division 2.

DIVISION ONE

In Division 1, a high stakes match unfolded between Brenchley Faithful and Take Oath FC that ultimately culminated in a decisive 6-1 victory for Brenchley Faithful. Meanwhile, an exhilarating game between LadsOnToure and Shed VI saw Shed VI pull off a narrow 6-4 victory, but it wasn't enough to prevent LadsOnToure from clinching the Division 1 title with a total of 14 wins and 29 points.

In another contest, Slippery Balls United edged out McGinn And Tonic 3-2 in a tightly contested game, with Joe Sargent of Slippery Balls United stealing the show with two goals.

DIVISION TWO

Meanwhile, Division 2 was not without its share of excitement. The tension was palpable in the match between Romasexuals and Hardly Athletic FC, with the latter managing a narrow 2-1 victory. However, the week belonged to Chunky CF, who stormed their way to the top of Division 2 with a total of 14 wins and 30 points after defeating Youths FC 5-3 in a thrilling match.

Big Diesels' Max was the standout player in Division 2, netting a total of 4 goals to become the division's top scorer this week despite a 5-4 loss to They See Me Brolin who secured the runners up spot. Bottle Jobs enjoyed a 4-2 victory against Get The Badge In while Schindlers Assist beat 863 FC 4-3.

Congratulations to Josh (LadsOnToure) who won the Div 1 Golden Boot with 30 goals this season while Chris (Hardly Athletic) picked up the Div 2 Golden Boot with 33 goals.

In conclusion, the final week of the Maidstone Wednesday 6-a-side Football League was a testament to the skill and spirit of all the participating teams and ensured a fitting end to a season full of exhilarating football.
