Maidstone Wednesday 6 a side news - match day 9

The ninth week of the Maidstone Wednesday Football League was an adrenaline-pumping spectacle, as teams in the Premier League and Division 1 showed their mettle on the pitch.

PREMIER LEAGUE

In the Premier League, Beercelona edged out Lobs United in a tantalizingly close match that ended 3-2. Meanwhile, Billers N Ballers and LadsOnToure ended in a draw, with both teams scoring two goals each, leaving us at the edge of our seats. However, the highlight of the Premier League was the eight-goal thriller between Borussia Teeth and Brenchley Faithful, which ended 8-6 in favour of Borussia Teeth. Jack Whitmore was bang in form as he netted a hat-trick for Brenchley.

DIVISION ONE

Over at Division 1, Bottle Job FC displayed a dominant performance against Hardly Athletic, sweeping the match by a staggering 9-2 victory. Cowboy Flukes also had a good run, defeating Tekkerslovakia 6-1. The competition was fierce in the World VI versus Sleepy Morgan game, ending 3-2 in favour of Sleepy Morgan. Cowboy Flukes' Kyle Moore stole the show in Division 1, scoring an impressive four goals, making him the top scorer of the division this week.

The ninth week of the Maidstone Wednesday Football League was a testament to the intensity and competitiveness of grassroots football. With the top scorers' exceptional performance and the teams' tremendous energy, we are eagerly awaiting the action that the tenth week has to offer. The league continues to be a platform for local teams to showcase their skills and passion for the beautiful game, bringing the community together in the spirit of camaraderie and competition.

Thank you to Derek for overseeing the evening and to our referee's and players. Good luck next week.
