New Maidstone Wednesday 6 a side season gets underway!

The much-awaited football season kicked off last night in the Maidstone Wednesday 6-a-side Football League, and the competition has already begun to heat up.

PREMIER LEAGUE  

In the Premier League, They See Me Brolin narrowly triumphed over 2 Pints And Paqueta with a score of 2-1. Another close contest saw SFM eke out a victory with a 2-1 win over Brenchley Faithful. However, the standout match of the evening was the encounter between Mustard FC and JD MAIDSTONE, where the former dominated the game with an impressive 12-0 victory. LadsOnToure also made their mark by defeating McFred 4-2. The star player of the Premier League was undoubtedly Josh from LadsOnToure, who successfully netted two goals, setting the standard for the rest of the season.

DIVISION ONE

Meanwhile, in Division 1, the competition proved to be equally exhilarating. Big Diesels overcame Slippery Balls United with a 5-3 win, while Real Sosobad edged out Bonnies Blues 3-2. Out On Bale also emerged victorious over Bottle Job FC with a 3-1 scoreline. The highlight of the division was the match between Oakwood Ultras and Debden FC, which Debden FC won convincingly with a massive 15-0 scoreline. In It For The Cardio and Get The Badge In battled it out, with the former securing a 4-3 win. The standout player from Division 1 was Bobby from Big Diesels, who scored 4 goals in total.

With the first week over, the teams are now well accustomed to the excitement and intensity of the season. The spectators are eagerly looking forward to the coming weeks, as the teams continue their quest for glory in the Maidstone Wednesday Football League.
