NEW MAIDSTONE WEDNESDAY 6 A SIDE SEASON KICKS OFF!
In the highly anticipated kick-off of the new season of the extended Maidstone Wednesday 6 a side Football League, teams from the Premier League and Division 1 showcased their prowess on the pitch, delivering a thrilling evening of football.
PREMIER LEAGUE
In the Premier League, new boys Albions Degenerates outpaced Phil Mc Corey with a scoreline of 4-1, setting a high standard for the season. Lobs United and champions Beercelona played out a hard-fought draw, sharing the spoils with a 1-1 result. In one of most closely contested match of the evening, LadsOnToure narrowly defeated new team Billers N Ballers 5-4 while Borussia Teeth edged Brenchley Faithful in another nine-goal thriller, ending 5-4 in their favour.
DIVISION ONE
Meanwhile, Division 1 saw a high-scoring affair as Bottle Job FC defeated new team Hardly Athletic with an 11-2 victory, marking their dominance early in the season. Tekkerslovakia secured a close 2-1 victory over another new team Cowboy Flukes while Gangsters Allardyce triumphed 7-3 over the last of our new teams Sleepy Morgan. In other games, Get The Badge In beat Mo Leicesters 6-1 while Invicta Motors FC maintained a clean sheet with a 4-0 win over Maidstone Mingers.
As the season has only just begun, these results set the tone for what promises to be an exhilarating season ahead. The top scorers for the opening week in the Premier League were LadsOnToure and Borussia Teeth, both with five goals each. In Division 1, Bottle Job FC made a statement with a whopping eleven goals, establishing themselves as the team to beat.
