MATCH NIGHT REPORT - ROUND 8

Not a huge goal return over at Waterside tonight but still some very important results in another night with all teams in action. 

We started the night with Balotellitubbies v Monico. Monico were looking to carry on where they left off last week after a great result against Neil. They faced a tough task in Balo who contained the game well as a unit. Despite either side having chances this one ended goalless. 

Also at 7 we had Biffta take on Range Rovers. Both sides were looking to add to their points tally and hoped tonight would be their chance to do so. A double from Ben Phillipson secured an important 2-0 win for Biffta. 

Then at 7:40 we had Panashingdon v Inter Mivan. The top of the table clash. This game had potential to have plenty of goals but in fact the 2 sides cancelled each other out on the night as the fixture ended 0-0. Some great saves from either keeper and a disallowed goal for Panash was as much as we saw in this one. 

Also at 7:40 we had a friendly match between Coming Home and Exeter Gently in Benfleet’s absence. A tight affair saw few chances in either goal. But a late winner for Exeter saw them nick their first victory. 

At 8:20 we had Neil FC v Johnsons. A chance for Neil to take advantage of the earlier result and catch up with their rivals. No messing around tonight as that finishing touch was definitely found. A dominant performance saw this one end 9-1 to Neil. 

Our last game was Expected Toulouse v Show me the Mane. Expected were looking to carry on their great run and they did exactly that tonight. Gary Brown the standout performer in a 4-1 victory. A better showing from Mane but they need to work on their finishing. Another 2 points that keeps Expected near the top.
