MATCH NIGHT REPORT - ROUND 10

Another action packed Thursday evening of football is complete.

We started the evening with Balotellitubbies v Johnsons. Both sides were looking to pick up some form and get another win under their belts. A very even first half saw Balo lead 1-0 after a great finish from Ant. But a 2nd half penalty allowed Johnsons to equal the scoring and saw this game play out as 1-1. A fair result on the night.

Also at 7 we had Inter Mivan v Monico. Inter were looking to bounce back from last weeks defeat and they faced an in form Monico side who have a great record against the top sides this season. A very tight game saw chances for either side but it was Monico who broke the deadlock first. They then doubled their lead and looked to play out for the win. A late goal from Inter made it interesting but Monico held on for another top team scalping. A big blow for Inter’s title hopes.

Then at 7:40 we had Panashingdon v Expected Toulouse. Both sides were the ‘surprise packages’ of the season so far and tied on 13 points as the night begun. But tonight Panash were top class and played out a brilliant game to take a 3-0 win. Expected gave them a great game but couldn’t take their chances.

Also at 7:40 we had Coming Home v Range Rovers. Both sides were looking to add points to their respective tallies and managed to do so with a 0-0 draw. Not much to call from this one as both sides left their shooting boots at home.

Then at 8:20 we had Show me the Mane v Benfleet. Mane needed a more positive result than last weeks 13-0 thrashing. Benfleet had a strong team out and outplayed Mane at times with some great teamwork. 3 penalties allowed Benfleet to run away with this one and 6-0 was the final score.

Our last game saw Neil take on Biffta. After regaining the lead last week, tonight was Neil’s chance to put another stamp down and head for another consecutive title. They faced an inform Biffta side who always give them a great game. It was a close first 10 mins with both sides having a couple of shots but Neil then scored a goal and controlled the game from there. A very professional performance saw them cruise to a 4-0 victory. Another step towards the title for Neil.

Well done to all teams who took part tonight. It was another great night under the lights at Waterside. See you all next week when we get to do it all over again!
