MATCH NIGHT REPORT - ROUND 6

Another great night of football under the lights at Waterside tonight!

We started the night with Johnsons v Range Rovers. Both sides were the surprise packages so far this season and were keeping pace with the top 3. A great battle throughout the match saw this one finish 1-1 at FT.

Also at 7 we had Expected Toulouse v Coming Home. Expected have also started very promising with a win here keeping them in touch with the top. Coming we’re looking to grab their first win of the season. A really compact game with either side having chances. But Expected again finished when it matters and took this one 3-1.

Then at 7:40 we had Biffta v Benfleet. Benfleet were the form side heading into this one as they looked to grab another 2 points. Both sides were evenly matched throughout with it being 0-0 with 10 mins to go.

Also at 7:40 we had Panashingdon v Monico. Panash were looking to add to last weeks huge win against Neil but tonight was another big challenge against a good Monico side. A great game saw Monico take a 3-1 lead and looked to shock the contenders but these boys do not give up. With 5 mins to go they were 3-2 down. 2 very late goals managed to see them then it round and secure a 4-3 victory. Huge win to keep them fighting at the top. Very u fortunate for Monico who were great on the night.

Then at 8:20 we had Neil FC v Balotellitubbies. 2 sides at opposite ends of the table went head to head which really was a competitive game. After an early Neil goal, Balo equalised to make it 1-1 just after the break. But Neil pushed on in the last 10 to bounce back to victory 4-1. Shoutout to Balo’s fill in GK Brad who was outstanding tonight.

Also at 8:20 we had Inter Mivan v Show me the Mane. Inter were looking to improve on last weeks point whereas Mane were looking to add to their 3 point tally. Inter dominated the game and had plenty of chances to score. Liam got an impressive 4 goals tonight and rallied the sides to a 6-1 victory. Tough night for a new look Mane who will need some time to gel.

Another great night at Waterside with all top 3 teams securing victory and the title race continues!

See you all next week.
