ROUND 16 - MATCH NIGHT REPORT

Tonight we had 4 games go ahead over Waterside and there really was some fantastic football played. 

We started the night with Monico v Tiki Taka. A really tight affair saw Tiki Taka take an early lead. Monico then had some golden opportunities and missed 2 first half penalties. Both teams continued to create chances but then late goal sealed the 2 points for Taka with a 2-0 victory. 

Also at 8pm we had Range Rovers v Dogs of War. Range Rovers started the better side and took a 3-0 lead. The game was still close throughout and the Dogs actually brought it back to 3-2 and made the last few minutes interesting. Rovers though held on for the 2 points which sees them now go 3 games unbeaten. 

We then went into the 8:40 kick off’s with DBA v Arrogant, it started very quickly with a goal within the first minute for DBA. A very entertaining game saw a total of 9 goals shipped in. Team Arrogant edged the thriller with a 5-4 victory. This was Arrogant’s first 2 points and a great way to earn them. An unlucky evening for DBA. 

The last game see our leaders, Neil FC take on Moldova. An incredibly close game went into half time at 0-0 after wasted chances from both sides in the first half. Moldova’s keeper had an outstanding match with some unbelievable saves made throughout. Unfortunately Moldova gave away a penalty for a pass back and then 2 minutes later another penalty for an over waist kick from the keeper. After Neil took the lead they took the control and bagged another two for a 4-0 win. This now means Neil are 2 points ahead with 2 match nights to go. They have one hand on the title now.

With 2 weeks to go it’s looking like we may have new champions. 2 more tests to go before we find out. See you all next week for another great night of football over at Waterside!
