Sunday 10th August - Durham Round-Up

It was a good evening's football in the Durham Sunday 6 a side league this week, with all teams in attendance throughout the night barring Ben's Belly who will be spoken to accordingly to confirm their return on Sunday 17th August.


In the Premier League, Binny FC secured a well-deserved win over Exeter Gently FC 4-2, showing an impressive tactical display. Jills Men put on an electrifying show, defeating Different Gravy 5-3, while The Moors narrowly beat LVFC 4-3 in a hard-fought match. The Premier League’s top scorer was Jills Men, scoring five goals in a single match.


Division 1 played host to some equally thrilling matches, highlighting the depth of talent in the Durham Sunday Football League. Oldman Athritic emerged as the top team, with a convincing 5-0 win over Willy Wacker Wanderers. Reform UK and The Red Rockets put on a tight display, with The Red Rockets scraping a 3-2 victory. Oldman Athritic emerged as the top scorers in this division.


In Division 2, Crashout FC showed their prowess with a 5-3 win over EL SPASTICO, while Mad Dogs FC and Busy Bombers ended the match in a 2-2 draw. Man-Chest-Hair-United also achieved a slim victory against Tinky Winky FC with a 2-1 result. However, the highlight of the division was the dominant performance by Two Goals One Cup, who thrashed Unathletico Madrid 7-1. The team emerged as the top scorers for Division 2.
