It was another good evening's football in the Durham Sunday 6 a side league this week with all teams in attendance for their matches as scheduled across all three divisions.
In the Premier League, Binny FC demonstrated their prowess with a solid 3-1 victory over The Moors, while VFL Spenny successfully kept HOGS at bay, finishing the match with a clean sheet of 3-0. The top scorer's title in the Premier League was clinched by a striker from Binny FC, who netted two of the three goals of the match.
Division 1 too had its share of exciting games. Reform UK pulled off an impressive 5-1 victory over Different Gravy, while Two Goals One Cup narrowly edged out Oldman Arthritic 3-2. Busy Bombers outpaced Exeter Gently FC 2-0, and Tesco VI dominated the field, scoring a whopping 9-3 win over DFs Dominators. The credit for the top scorer in Division 1 went to a Tesco VI player who scored a hat trick, contributing significantly to the team's big win.
As for Division 2, Bens Belly secured a narrow 3-2 win over Unathletico Madrid, while Willy Wacker Wanderers triumphed 6-2 over Whippy Warriors. Man-Chest-Hair-United dominated their match against Crashout FC, ending with a 5-0 victory, and EL SPASTICO managed to eke out a 2-1 win over Mad Dogs FC. The top scorer from Willy Wacker Wanderers stood out in Division 2, marking a hat trick to his name.
