Sunday 18th January - Durham Round-Up

It was a good evening's football in the Durham Sunday 6 a side league overall this week, we were however disappointed to see another non-attendance from El Spastico, who we've now removed from the league.  Crashout FC from Division One have also withdrawn from the league after completing their withdrawal notice.

With the above in mind, we do however welcome two new teams to the league.  We wish Australian Government and Millfield Ultras good luck going into their first fixtures with us on Sunday 25th January.

In the Premier League division, we witnessed some heart-stopping action. Two Goals One Cup and Binny FC found themselves locked in a thrilling 3-3 draw. Meanwhile, VFL Spenny came out on top against The Moors with an impressive 5-1 victory. The match of the night was undoubtedly Morans Army's whopping 8-0 destruction over Oldman Athritic.

The Division 1 matches were equally riveting. Whippy Warriors faced a tough loss against Bens Belly, ending 3-5. The close encounter between Unathletico Madrid and Willy Wacker Wanderers went in favor of the Wanderers, who edged it 4-3. Spenny Ultras showed their dominance over Crashout FC, winning 6-0. Different Gravy triumphed over Man-Chest-Hair-United with a 4-1 win, and Mad Dogs FC stood their ground against Exeter Gently FC, winning 3-0.

Good luck to all teams heading into game week 3 of the season with Durham's premier providers of small sided football!
