It was a good evening's football in the Durham Sunday 6 a side league overall this week, with all teams in attendance for their fixtures barring three. Unfortunately Jills Men for the second week running so they have now been removed. DFS Dominators and Tuggy FC will both be spoken to accordingly to confirm their return on Sunday 9th November.
On the plus side, we are delighted to welcome two new teams to the league, we wish VFL Spenny and Tesco VI good luck going into their first fixtures on Sunday 9th November.
In the Premier League, HOGS edged out Pambos Pool Party in a well-contested game. The fixture ended with HOGS emerging victorious with a slim margin, 2-1. This result has further heated up the competition in the Premier League, with HOGS consolidating their position in the standings.
Meanwhile, in Division 1, Two Goals One Cup demonstrated their dominance by overwhelming Different Gravy with a staggering 6-0 victory. The winning team's commendable coordination and relentless attack earned them this landslide win. The other fixture in this division saw Exeter Gently FC losing to Reform UK, 3-8, in a high-scoring match.
Division 2 saw some closely contested matches too. Bens Belly locked horns with Willy Wacker Wanderers and the game concluded in a 2-2 draw. A similar tale unfolded in the Crashout FC versus Unathletico Madrid match which also ended in a stalemate, 3-3. However, Man-Chest-Hair-United managed to break the pattern by securing a clean 2-0 win against Mad Dogs FC.
Top scorers of the week were undoubtedly the players from Two Goals One Cup in Division 1, Reform UK in Division 1 and Man-Chest-Hair-United in Division 2. These players showcased their fantastic football skills, giving their teams an upper-hand in this week's games.
