Sunday 8th March - Durham and Spennymoor Round-Up

It was a good evening's football in the Durham Sunday 6 a side league this week which saw all teams in attendance throughout the night across both divisions, the only exception being Unathletico Madrid who has to cancel but return to action on Sunday 15th March.

In the Premier League, a tightly contested match saw VFL Spenny pip Binny FC to the post with a narrow 2-1 victory. In a display of absolute dominance, the Australian Government ran riot over Lowhills, smashing 6 goals past them without any reply in a match that reiterated their superior game tactics. The Moors continued their solid run, beating HOGS 3-1, while Moran's Army and Reform UK ended their game in a hard-fought 1-1 draw.

Meanwhile, Division 1 witnessed some closely fought battles and high-scoring games. Barely Legal and Willy Wacker Wanderers had to share the spoils with a 2-2 draw. In an electrifying match, Millfield Mafia outscored Whippy Warriors 6-2. Exeter Gently FC enjoyed a narrow 4-3 victory over Spenny Ultras, while Man-Chest-Hair-United claimed an impressive 4-0 win against Mad Dogs FC.
