Exeter Monday 5 a side news | WEEK 1

Exeter Monday’s highly-anticipated football league kicked off last night, with teams from both the Premier League and Division 1 divisions coming head-to-head to start the season on a high note.

PREMIER LEAGUE
In the Premier League, fans were treated to a thrilling match as SPT FC dominated the Monkeys with a score of 9-6. In other Premier League matches, Piers In Paris barely scraped by Haven't Got A Kalou with an 8-6 victory, while Borussia Teeth overshadowed Tinpot Town FC with a stunning 8-5 win. The top scorer of the Premier League division was yet to be announced at the time of publishing.

DIVISION ONE
Division 1 saw equally compelling matches. Net Six And Chill fell short against Dartmoor Tree Surgeons FC who triumphed with a score of 12-4. Meanwhile, Unathletico Madrid left no room for challenge, shutting out Parts United with a jaw-dropping 16-0 victory. The Jackson Five put up a valiant fight against Peakers United FC, but fell short with a final score of 5-10. In Division 1, the standout player was George Butterworth from Dartmoor Tree Surgeons FC, who was named the most valued player of the week.

This first week of play set the tone for what promises to be an exciting season. Spectators will no doubt look forward to seeing how the teams face up against each other as the season progresses. The question remains: who will ascend to the top ranks of their respective divisions?
