GILLINGHAM MONDAY FOOTBALL LEAGUE KICKS OFF WITH A BANG

As the first week of the new season for the Gillingham Monday Football League kicked off, fans and teams alike were buzzing with the thrill of competition. With some exhilarating performances in both the Premier League and Division 1, the stage has been set for a riveting season ahead.

In the Premier League, Medway Magics narrowly edged out SPORTING A BIERGUT with a score of 3-2, signaling their intent for the season. Kent Dons also squeaked by with a 2-1 victory over Palmerston VI, thanks to their solid defense. However, the highlight of the division was undoubtedly Stella Kings, who dominated their match against Liz Trussard. With an astonishing score line of 19-3, it was a performance that won't be forgotten anytime soon.

Over in Division 1, the action was just as captivating. The Purple Cobras fell short against CLASS ON GRASS, losing 1-2, while Sheffield Thursday and HIGHAM PREMIER 6 ended in a 3-3 draw in a fiercely contested match. However, Medway Minors stole the show with a staggering 25 goals against Black Sheep FC's 3, putting them ahead in the early race for top spot.

MBFC, unfortunately, couldn't find the back of the net and succumbed to a 2-0 defeat against Madeleine Milan.

While it's early days, the top scorers for each division have already begun to make their mark. Stella Kings in the Premier League and Medway Minors in Division 1 have set the bar high with their high scoring openings. However, with the season just beginning, there's plenty of football left to play.

Fans eagerly await the next round of matches, hoping for more of the same exciting action and high scoring games that have defined the start of the Gillingham Monday Football League season.
