Gillingham's Monday 6-a-side Premier League and Division 1 season kicked off with a flurry of goals, thrilling victories, and displays of pure footballing brilliance.

In the Premier League, HIGHAM PREMIER 6 clinched a nail-biting 4-3 win over Gary's Golden Boys, in what was the most closely contested match of the evening. Fight Club managed to shut out Medway Magics, ending the game with a clean sheet at 2-0. However, the highlight of the night was Palmerston VI's dominant 7-0 triumph over Real Madrib, setting a high bar for the season's outset.

Moving onto Division 1, the newly started season showed no signs of first-week nerves. 5 Guys 1 Cup made their intentions clear with a resounding 9-2 victory against Suplex City. CLASS ON GRASS upped their game, annihilating Nibblets FC with a 7-1 win. Adam Johnsons also started their campaign on a solid footing, recording a 3-0 victory over M7Ballers. Ajax Trees Down wrapped up the night with a 2-0 win against Formally Athletic.

The first week of the season has already given us the privilege of witnessing some outstanding individual performances. The top scorers of the week included the strikers from Palmerston VI and 5 Guys 1 Cup, who contributed massively to their teams' emphatic victories in the Premier League and Division 1 respectively.

As Gillingham's Monday football league rolls into the rest of the season, all eyes will be on these teams and their players, as they continue to showcase their skills and battle for supremacy. If the first week is anything to go by, we're in for an exciting season of football.
