Weston - Sunday League Update

It was another Arctic night on the 3G at Worle last night and we thank all the teams that braved the elements and played out their fixtures.

In the Premier League Groggy climbed to the top of the table after a 3-1 victory over Murder on Zidanes Floor.

Woodworks took a 2-0 win over The Squirells and Nuts United took a decent 4-1 win over The Good, The Bad and The Ugly.

Division 1 -

Academicals remain in the top spot and not just alphabetically, their superior goal difference keeps them there, after a 5-0 win over West Ham, Egg N Chips.

Nuts United sit behind, level on points, but with a narrow 2-1 win over Net 6 and Chill, it wasn't enough to take the top spot.

After an epic battle with Academicals last week, Chamakh My Ptich Up returned to the park looking to march on.  Tonight however, it wasn't to be, as Expected Toulouse took the game out  3-1.

Division 2 -

Bayer Neverlusen and Chancers arrived, both determined and looking to bag some points. it was a passionate first half, but it soon settled and Neverlusen found their stride. The final result 5-0 to Neverlusen.

Real Lee Sheet and No Cabbages went head to head on the park. Two experienced teams looking for the win. No Cabbages take the glory this time with a 4-2 win.

Division 3 -

Chicken Tikka Mo-Salah retuned for their second match of the season. Looking to build on their opening night jitters last week. This, they did with a smooth 3-1 win over Weston Warriors.

Always a good match to watch, Jewventus squared up to Lets Be Havin You.  These games are always tightly contested!  It was just that again last night, but, this time Lets Be Havin You edged the win 2-1.

Another great match, as always, is Wags vs Hamstrung. Two teams that have been around the field at Worle for many seasons.  On this occasion Wags take the bragging rights, with a 4-1 win.

Benteke Fried Chicken continue their impressive form, remaining in the top spot after their 6-0 win over Ninja Skrtels.

So yet another brilliant night of football, we always look forward to Sunday's!

Please remember if you do not show up for your game, you will still need to pay for this, unless the appropriate 7 days notices is given.
