Monday 10th May - Worthing Round-Up

It was a fantastic evening's football in the Worthing Monday 6 a side league this week which saw all 32 teams in attendance for their matches as scheduled and some entertaining encounters played across all four divisions.

Chiellini Con Carne made it 3 wins from four and stay unbeaten in the Premier Division in the early stages, they ran out 2-1 winners over last season's Runners-Up Vapors who've had a slower start to the campaign than they are used to.  Partey Time remain rock bottom and pointless so far this campaign, as second placed NSD were 4-0 winners in this weeks fixture.  MK Dons sit in third place and won this week, although they were made to work for the points by Packet Inn, 2-1 to MK the final result.  Last but by no means least was the 5-2 victory for Hakuna Juan Mata over last seasons champions FC Big Wangs, the former winners find themselves in the bottom two from the opening four games which nobody would've been expecting!

Division One leaders Hussars FC are looking to bounce back from their recent relegation.  The former Premier Division champions made it 4 wins in a row as they brushed aside Havana Club 5-2, they are certainly looking like favourites at this stage.  Second and third met this week as Virgins and All The Gear played out a thrilling 6-6 draw in an end to end encounter, this result was perfect for Hussars and allows the gap between top and second to extend to three points.  Double figures were scored in the divisions other two games, Jen Dog handing an 11-3 thrashing to Pukki 22 whilst Crack Attack went all out attack and posted a 10-4 win over Brexit Boys in another entertaining game.

Division Two continues to be lead by WPR who picked up their third win from four this week, a 3-1 win over Bowen Balcony FC who have won 2 and lost 2 of their opening four.  Selden Park Rangers sit in second spot but boosted their goal difference significantly this week as they were in unforgiving form in front of goal, a 12-0 win over Scoo their reward for some lethal finishing.   Kroos Control were also in dominant form as they whacked Borden's Angels out of sight by 11 goals to nil.  Third placed Asthma FC also boosted their goal difference in a night of goals for the division, they posted an 8-0 victory over LA Dairy Milk.

It was the battle of the self proclaimed ladies men in Division Three as Clit Busters met Milf Hunters.  The game was as close as would be expected in a division that sees 4 teams separated by a single point, an entertaining 2-2 draw played out between the two who sit top and fourth respectively.  Cream of the South moved into second with a narrow 2-1 win over Diego Costa Coffee and Borussia Munchonflapjack's win by the same scoreline over Bayern Munchies sees them in third spot.  Disunited picked up a big win at the other end of the table as they ran out 4-2 winners over Moleicester City to move four clear of the bottom two.

We wish all teams the best of luck heading into game week 5 with Worthing's premier small sided football provider, and as ever thank all teams for their continued reliability and commitment to the league which ensures it is so successful week on week.
