Monday 10th January - Worthing Round-Up

It was a good evening's football overall this week in the Worthing Monday 6 a side league, which saw all teams in attendance throughout the night as scheduled, barring two.  We look forward to welcoming back You Petr Cech Yourself and BayernMunchies back in action with us on Monday 17th January.

We remind all teams that in the event you are unable to make a fixture, it is imperative that you contact us at Head Office to inform us of this.  We have had a handful of situations recently where this is happening, and, because we do not know the team is not arriving, it is making it very difficult to ensure the opposing team gets a game.  Please be aware that the offices are open until 7pm on league nights so there is no excuse not to inform us.

On the field, FC Big Wangs continue to lead the way at the top of the Premier Division, they were 4-2 winners in their match against Pen15 Club, whilst Vapors moved into second place and leapfrogged Sevilla Autism whom they beat by a single goal.  Champions MK's Dons have had a mixed campaign thus far and sit mid-table, however they clicked into gear this week and thrashed Hussars by a 10-0 score line!  Finally, The Dad Bods picked up their second consecutive 4-2 win this week as they overcame Packet Inn.

Borussia Munchonflapjack and Selden Park Rangers seem intent on outdoing each other in front of goal this season, just 1 goal separates the two 8 games in, both having won 7 games a piece.  Borussia stay top just about following their 9-3 victory over Jen Dog, whilst Selden Park closed the goal difference gap as they thrashed Partey Time by a 10-2 score line.  Guilty Sigurdsson and Bodli FC shared the spoils in the mid-table clash as they played out an entertaining 3-3 draw.

The Pukki derby ended 2-2 this week as the top two in Division Two met.  Wet Ass Pukki stay top of the pile and sit three points clear of the competition, Pukki 22, whilst third placed Murder on Zidane's Floor missed out on the chance to go level with second as they drew 3-3 with Suzanne's Toy Boys.  Elsewhere, Worthing Rovers got their second win in a row, having only won one game before that, they seem to be clicking for 2022 as they were relentless in front of goal against lowly Havana Club, 13-0 the final score.

Cream of the South stay top of Division Three following their 5-0 walkover this week, but Notso Athletic lost ground on the leaders as they suffered a 5-3 reverse at the hands of Bowen Balcony FC who move into third and look to make their move on the promotion places!  Jimmy Floyd Hasslehoff's explosive start since joining the league continued, as they ran out emphatic 9-4 winners over Expected Toulouse, they've now scored 20 goals in their first two games!  Unathletico Madrid rounded off the action as they beat long serving Disunited by a 5-1 score line.

As ever, if you have any queries regarding the league at any point, you can contact Shaun at Head Office on 0333 123 2340.

Good luck to all teams going into game week 9 with Worthing's premier small sided football providers!
