Monday 10th October - Worthing Round-Up

It was a good evening's football to kick off the new season in the Worthing Monday 6 a side league this week, with all teams in attendance for the season opener and some entertaining matches played across all four divisions.

In the Premier Division all games got off to a flying start, The Dad Bods ran out 3-1 winners in their game against Sevilla Autism to top the league for what it's worth after one game.  Worthing Rovers won an entertaining seven goal encounter against newly promoted Hussars FC, the game ending 4-3 to Rovers, whilst Vapors overcame MK Dons in another entertaining match which they ran out 3-2 victors.

In Division One, the two newly promoted teams from Division Two came up against each other in the season opener, with LR Vets romping to an 11-3 victory over Ian Moores Boys to set their stalls out for the upcoming campaign as they bid for back to back promotions.  LA Dairy Milk were also emphatic winners as they eased past I'm Mashed FC by an 8-2 scoreline, whilst Packet Inn also looked impressive as they overcame Athletico Pathetico 6-1.  The final game in the division was a lot closer, and saw Pen15 Club beat Arseanal 5-4 in an end to end game.

The goal trend continued in Division Two as 3 For 100? won a 10 goal game against Swaztekka by a 7-3 scoreline whilst new boys Mullet and Sons were 3-2 winners in their first game in Division Two as they edged out Lads on Toure.  Bowen Balcony completed the action in the division with a 2-0 victory over Pukki 22 B in a well drilled performance.

Division Three's action saw young side Craigy's At The Wheel triumph in their season opener as they were comfortable victors over Unathletico Madrid by a 5-2 scoreline, their fourth game unbeaten since joining the league.  FC Boca Seniors were comfortable 4-1 winners over Havana Club to kick start their season the right way, whilst Bayernmunchies won an eight goal thriller against Petr Cech Yourself in a game that ended 5-3.  Neville Wears Prada completed the action in the division as they squeezed past Disunited by 2 goals to 1.
