Monday 11th August - Worthing Round-Up

It was an excellent evening's football in the Worthing Monday 6 a side league this week, with all teams in attendance throughout the night as scheduled.


In the Premier League, Fatzio handed a heavy 7-1 defeat to COB FC, asserting their dominance early in the season. Despite an expected tough match between Expected Toulouse and Panda FC, the latter emerged victorious with a surprising 5-2 scoreline. Elsewhere, Treble Inbound edged past Worthing Wanderers in a high-scoring game, winning 6-3. The final match saw Fair Weather FC blank MasDog And Duck 3-0, making their intentions clear for the season ahead.


Division 1 saw a nail-biting clash between BOWEN VAPORS and Madeleine Milan, with the latter scraping through with a 7-6 win. In another evenly contested match, HUSSARS FC drew 3-3 with Mundial Melts. Cream Of The South emerged victorious over PUKKI 22 B. with a 7-5 win, while ReCog edged past Worthing Wolverines 4-3 in a hard-fought match.


In Division 2, Brexit Tarring made their presence felt with a thumping 13-4 victory over Finger Maignan, while Asda United fell to Fringping Pong 4-1 in a game that kept spectators on the edge of their seats.


Division 3 saw All The Gear No Idea and Borussia Munchonflapjack share points with a 3-3 draw, while Big MacAllister & Fries drew 2-2 with Colonel Getafe. Backroom Benders, however, managed to secure a 5-1 win over Diddys Disciples FC.
