Monday 12th December - Worthing Round-Up

It was a good evening's football in the Worthing Monday 6 a side league this week with a good turnout in the cold weather conditions so well done to all teams involved on their continued commitment!

Premier Division leaders Worthing Rovers got back to winning ways after drawing last week, they were rampant 12-2 winners over Guildbourne Gobblers in an unforgiving performance in front of goal.  The Dad Bods remain in second place as they edged past a well drilled Only Fools and Scorers with a 2-1 win.  Vapors moved into third place this week after leapfrogging this weeks opponents Hussars by a 2-0 scoreline.

Division One leaders LR Vets boosted their already superior goal difference this week as they thrashed Athletico Pathetico out of sight by 17 goals to 2, keeping them ahead of second place on goal difference, although Packet Inn remain level on points with the leaders after a 3-1 victory against Arseanal.  Completing the action in the division was LA Dairy Milk who moved above their opponents Pen15 Club in the league table whom they beat 5-2.

In Division Two, third placed Cream of the South suffered a surprise 3-1 reverse at the hands of bottom of the table Lads on Toure, allowing Pukki 22 B in fourth to move level on points with the team above them following their 6-1 victory against 3 For 100?

In Division Three, the top v bottom game threw up few surprises, except maybe the sheer margin of victory as leaders FC Boca Seniors thrashed bottom side Disunited 17-1.  Second placed Neville Wears Prada thrashed You Petr Cech Yourself 5-2 to remain level on points with the top team, although the goal difference is significantly lower than the leaders.  Third placed Bayernmunchies were 2-1 winners over Unathletico Madrid but have some catching up to do as they remain five points behind the top two.  Havana Club moved up to fourth place with a 5-3 victory in an end to end game against Craigy's At The Wheel.
