Monday 17th October - Worthing Round-Up

It was a good evening's football in the Worthing Monday 6 a side league this week, with all teams in attendance throughout the night across all four divisions.

We welcomed two new teams to the Premier Division this week and  both fared slightly differently in their openers.  Only Fools and Scorers secured a hard fought 2-1 win over Sevilla Autism whilst Oreo's had a tough opener against an experienced MK Dons side who put them to the sword in a game that finished 10-2 to MK.  Worthing Rovers made it 2 wins on the bounce as they were 3-1 winners over Vapors, whilst Hussars claimed their first win of the campaign, running out 4-2 victors over Dad Bods.

LR Vets are showing no sign of struggling so far this campaign since promotion to Division One, their second double figure haul in a row saw them cruise past I'm Mashed by 13 goals to 4.  Packet Inn claimed an 8-2 win over Pen15 Club whilst LA Dairy Milk's 4-0 win over Athletico Pathetico see's them complete the trio of teams on maximum points so far.  Arseanal completed the divisions action running out 6-3 winners against Ian Moore's Boys.

Murder on Zidane's Floor got their second win on the spin and did so in style as they looked in fine fettle in front of goal, punishing Bowen Balcony by 10 goals to 2.  3 For 100 also sit pretty on four points after their opening two games, running out eventual winners in a solidly competed game against Lads on Toure by 4 goals to 3, whilst Cream of The South claimed their first points of the season, beating Mullet and Sons 8-2, as did Pukki 22 B who were impressive 4-1 winners over Swaztekka.

Craigy's At The Wheel followed up last weeks win with another impressive result as they crushed Neville Wears Prada 9-3, moving them to the summit on goal difference despite FC Boca Seniors 3-0 victory over Bayernmunchies.  Disunited's season got rocking and rolling as they came out winners of a goal fest, beating Havana Club 9-5.  Completing the action was You Petr Cech Yourself who squeezed past Unathletico Madrid 3-2.

We are pleased to see the league running so smoothly at present and thank all of our teams for their continued commitment and reliability on a weekly basis.

As ever, we wish all teams good luck going into game week 3 with Worthing's premier small sided football providers!
