Match Report - Exciting Start to the New Season at Worthing Leisure Centre


The Leisure Leagues Worthing Monday 6 a side league kicked off its brand new season with a bang on Monday 19th June. The teams took to the superb 3G surface at Worthing Leisure Centre, filled with high hopes and determination to start off the campaign on a positive note.

We were disappointed that, despite confirming their continuation into the new season, Toms Toys failed to attend without notifying us.  They have now been removed and replaced with new team Stella Sounders FC for games on 26th June, we wish the debutants good luck in their first game!

In the Premier Division, JCI FC, a newly promoted team, made a stunning entrance into the league with a superb opening result. They faced off against PACKET INN in a thrilling encounter that had fans on the edge of their seats. JCI FC managed to secure a narrow victory, defeating PACKET INN 3-2. Their winning performance surely set the tone for an exciting season ahead.


Another Premier Division clash saw THE DAD BODS dominate the field against MK'S DONS. THE DAD BODS showcased their skills and strength, netting an impressive seven goals while conceding just one. The final scoreline stood at 7-1 in favor of THE DAD BODS, leaving no doubt about their intentions for the season.


WORTHING ROVERS, the reigning champions, faced a tough challenge in their opening game against HUSSARS FC, last season's runners-up. The match proved to be a battle between two top teams, each striving to establish their supremacy early on. In the end, WORTHING ROVERS emerged victorious with a narrow 3-2 win, sending out a clear message that they are determined to retain their title.


In Division One, PUKKI 22 B and PANDH FC, a recently relegated team, clashed in a fiercely contested match. PANDH FC displayed their resilience and determination, edging past PUKKI 22 B with a 3-2 victory. This positive start marked a promising beginning for PANDH FC as they aim to bounce back to the Premier Division.


Two newly promoted teams in Division One, SWAZTEKKA and FC BOCA SENIORS, faced each other in an evenly matched encounter. Both teams put up a valiant effort, canceling each other out with a 2-2 draw. The result showcased the potential and competitiveness of these teams as they adapt to the challenges of a higher division.


Meanwhile, the relegated team, THE SEAVIEW SLUTS, had an outstanding performance, leaving no doubt about their intentions for a swift return to the Premier Division. They showcased their dominance against BOWEN BALCONY FC, securing a resounding 4-0 victory.


VAPORS and ARSEANAL engaged in an exhilarating battle that kept spectators on the edge of their seats. The two teams fought valiantly, refusing to give an inch. The match ended in a thrilling 3-3 draw, with both sides displaying their attacking prowess.


Moving on to Division Two, CREAM OF THE SOUTH, determined to make up for missing out on promotion last season, made a strong statement against CHIEFS KEEFERS. They put on a solid display, netting two goals while keeping a clean sheet to secure a confident 2-0 victory.


INTER ROW Z faced off against BREXIT BALL FC in a hard-fought encounter. Both teams demonstrated their determination to start the season strongly. It was a closely contested match, but in the end, BREXIT BALL FC managed to secure a narrow 3-2 win, claiming three valuable points.


NEVILLE WEARS PRADA proved their mettle as they dominated the field against BAYERNMUNCHIES. With a commanding performance, they emerged victorious with an impressive 5-1 scoreline.


TARRING FC and 3 FOR 100? battled it out in a tightly contested match. The teams fought relentlessly, but TARRING FC managed to secure a narrow 1-0 victory, showcasing their determination and grit.


In Division Three, LADS ON TOURE celebrated a hard-fought victory against HAVANA CLUB. In a game that saw both teams give their all, LADS ON TOURE emerged triumphant with a 1-0 win, proving that every goal counts in a game of fine margins.


GOLDEN ARCH IT FC displayed their attacking prowess against MAD LADS AFC, securing an impressive 6-0 victory. Their relentless drive to score goals paid off handsomely.


Finally, BIG MACALLISTER & FRIES, a newly named team, entertained the crowd in an exhilarating draw against DISUNITED. The teams showcased their skills and determination, resulting in an entertaining 3-3 draw.
