Monday 20th March - Worthing Round-Up

It was another fantastic evening's football in the Worthing Monday 6 a side league this week, with all teams in attendance for their matches as scheduled and some well competed games played throughout the night.  The only absence was a late cancellation from Wellington Dukes who return to action on Monday 27th March.

Worthing Rovers moved back to the top of the Premier Division table after game week 6 as they were 6-3 winners against Seaview Sluts, taking advantage of MK's Dons narrow 4-3 defeat to Hussars FC who move within two points of the summit.  Elsewhere PandH FC and Packet Inn shared a point apiece in an entertaining 2-2 draw, whilst Dad Bods moved on to seven points with an impressive 6-2 win against struggling Vapors.

We welcomed new team Chiefs Keefers to Division One this week and the debutants didn't look out of place, as they narrowly lost out 4-3 against a long serving Bowen Balcony team, giving them optimism for the remainder of the season.  Second placed Toms Toys FC were in clinical form this week as they thrashed JCI FC 10-2, allowing Pukki 22 B to move into third place as they claimed a point from Arseanal in a 1-1 draw.

There were big results at the top of Division Two this week, as Cream of the South dropped from top to third and were leapfrogged in table by Swaztekka who beat them 6-2 to move up to second.  FC Boca Seniors now lead the way after thrashing Leave It FC 11-1.  Elsewhere there were impressive 7-1 wins for two other teams in the division, as Tarring FC shocked Golden Arch It, and Neville Wears Prada disposed of Inter Row Z.

Division Three leaders Havana Club show no let up after game week 6, extending their 100% record with a 5-2 thrashing of Lads on Toure, they are closely followed by BayernMunchies who are only a solitary point off the summit, they were 2-1 winners over Craigy's At The Wheel.  3 For 100 moved up a place to fourth as they thrashed We Are Going Toulouse 6-1.  The action was completed for the evening as Petr Cech and Disunited shared a 2-2 draw, the latter's first point of the campaign so far.

We thank all teams for their continued reliability and commitment to the league and wish all good luck going into the next round of fixtures with Worthing's premier providers of small sided football.
