Monday 30th January - Worthing Round-Up

It was another superb evening's football in the Worthing Monday 6 a side league this week with all teams in attendance for their matches barring late cancellations from Athletico Pathetico and Disunited who both return to action with us on Monday 6th February.

We were delighted to see the addition of three new teams this week which filled the vacancies!  Wellington Dukes came into the Premier Division and gave an experienced Hussars side a great game on their debuts, eventually losing out 5-3 in an end to end game!  Seaview Sluts were another welcome addition to the Premier Division and pushed fourth placed Vapors all the way, eventually losing out 3-2.  Tarring FC came into Division One and had a tough opener against Arseanal who ran out 9-1 winners, but the new boys have some time to get a feel for the league ahead of the new season.

Premier Division leaders Worthing Rovers fine campaign continued as they were 4-1 winners over MK's Dons, whilst Dad Bods in second place were rampant 11-0 winners against Guildbourne Gobblers.

Packet Inn had already got the title in the bag but were given a run for their money by a youthful JCI FC who eventually lost 2-1 in a well competed game.  LA Dairy Milk and Goring By Suiii shared the spoils in a thrilling 3-3 draw in another entertaining game.

Division Two leaders and now confirmed champions Bowen Balcony edged another open game as they beat Swaztekka 4-2, whilst Pukki 22B secured the second promotion spot as they were disciplined enough to run out 2-0 winners against Cream of the South.  Golden Arch It were defeated 2-1 by Lads on Toure in a closely competed encounter, whilst P&H FC continue their excellent start since joining and were rampant 7-1 winners against 3 For 100.

Division Three's top two met this week and the leaders put the title beyond doubt as they were convincing 3-0 winners over Neville Wears Prada who already have promotion in the bag themselves.  Craigy's At The Wheel moved up to fourth with a narrow 2-1 win against Petr Cech Yourself, whilst another close game saw Havana Club record a 2-0 win against Bayernmunchies.

We wish all teams good luck going into the final games of this season with Worthing's premier providers of small sided football, ahead of the new campaign on Monday 13th February.
