Monday 31st January - Worthing Round-Up

It was another good evening's football overall in the Worthing Monday 6 a side league this week, with all teams in attendance for their games barring a late cancellation from Suzanne's Toy Boys who return on Monday 6th February.

FC Big Wangs edge ever closer to the title with 3 games to play, they now need just one more point to seal the league after running out on top in a 10 goal thriller against Packet Inn, 6-4 the final score in an entertaining game.  Sevilla Autism's title chances were dealt a severe blow and all but ended after they were on the wrong end of a 4-1 score line in their match against Hussars.  MK's Dons and Vapors both gave themselves a great chance of sealing second spot as they were winners in their respective games, both move to within a point of Sevilla.

Top of the table Borussia Munchonflapjack suffered a shock in Division One as new boys Studs FC put in a great performance to run out 4-2 winners, as Selden Park Rangers won a thriller against All The Gear No Idea by a 9-6 score line, they move level on points with the leaders.  Other action saw Jen Dog FC move further clear of the relegation places with a 5-4 victory over Partey Time.  Mid-table Bodli FC were 8-3 winners in their game against You Petr Cech Yourself who look consigned to the drop.

Murder on Zidane's Floor won the battle of the top two in Division Two, as they were 3-1 winners over Wet Ass Pukki who stay 4 points clear as they still look likely to seal the title before long.

It's unchanged in Division Three for the top two, as leaders Cream of the South and and Not So Athletic shared the spoils in a 4-4 draw, whilst Bowen Balcony moved right back into the promotion chase as they beat Jimmy Floyd Hasslehoff 3-2 to move level on points with second place.

Good luck to all teams going into the 12th round of fixtures with Worthing's premier small sided football providers!
