It was an excellent start to the new season in the Worthing Monday 6 a side league this week, with all teams attending for the first games of the new season as scheduled.
In the Premier League, crowd favorites Worthing Wolverines were edged out 5-3 by Angmering Allstars in an electrifying match that set the tone for the evening. Sons Of Pitches narrowly lost to Brazilian Bummers in a 13-goal thriller, while Fair Weather FC started their campaign on a positive note, with a clean sheet victory over ReCog. The match between Panda FC and Madeleine Milan proved to be the evening’s highlight as it ended in a high scoring 5-5 draw.
Over in Division 1, PUKKI 22 B. triumphed over All The Gear No Idea in an 8-5 victory. BOWEN VAPORS and Foreigners FC also showcased their dominance with wins over Cream Of The South and Optimum Landscapes respectively.
Division 2 saw an equally competitive start with Toe Punt Titans securing a narrow victory over Asda United. Morgan Sniffs White managed to scrape a win over DISUNITED in an exciting 7-6 match, while LA made a statement with a resounding 11-4 victory over Fringping Pong.
The action in Division 3 was no less competitive. Torta Pounder and Big MacAllister & Fries edged past their oppositions while Guildbourne Gobblers and Diddys Disciples FC also registered wins, setting the stage for an exciting season ahead.
