Monday 4th August - Worthing Round-Up

It was a good evening's football in the Worthing Monday 6 a side league this week to kick off the new season, with all teams in attendance for their matches throughout the night barring Bound Toulouse who cancelled for the second week running, without having played a game.  As a result they have been removed from the league and replaced with new team Borussia Munchonflapjack who we wish good luck in their first game.

In the Premier League, Worthing Wanderers showed their prowess with a commanding 8-4 victory over COB FC. Fatzio made a strong statement with a resounding 7-2 win against MasDog And Duck. The closest match of the evening was Treble Inbound edging out Expected Toulouse 3-2, while Panda FC registered a 5-3 win against Fair Weather FC.

Division 1 had its share of drama as well. Worthing Wolverines and BOWEN VAPORS shared the spoils in a high scoring 4-4 draw. ReCog and PUKKI 22 B. both eked out narrow 3-2 and 2-1 victories against Cream Of The South and HUSSARS FC respectively. In the most thrilling match of Division 1, Madeleine Milan managed to overcome Mundial Melts 4-3.

Division 2 saw the most lopsided victory of the night with Angmering Allstars crushing Lads On Toure 11-2. Asda United bested LA DAIRY MILK 4-2, while Brexit Tarring pipped Fringping Pong in a 6-5 thriller. Finger Maignan also claimed a 7-4 win over Factory FC.

The standout match in Division 3 was All The Gear No Idea's impressive 15-5 victory against Tekkerslovakia. DISUNITED and Diddys Disciples FC also made their mark with 4-2 and 6-2 victories against Backroom Benders and Big MacAllister & Fries respectively.

Good luck to all teams as we head into game week 2 of the campaign.
