Monday 7th July - Worthing Round-Up

It was a good evening's football in the Worthing Monday 6 a side league this week, with all teams in attendance throughout the night as scheduled barring two.  Asda United and Rusty Club have confirmed their return for the matches on Monday 14th July.

We are pleased to welcome new team Paul and Wall FC to the league, they replace the outgoing Diddy's Dynamo's and we wish these good luck going into the games on Monday 14th July.

In the Premier League, Panda FC clinched a thrilling 6-5 victory over Bowen Vapors in a clash that had spectators on the edge of their seats. MasDog and Duck overcame Pukki 22 B. 5-3, while Fatzio convincingly defeated Treble Inbound 6-2. The biggest upset in the Premier League saw Expected Toulouse trounce Worthing Wanderers 7-2, a result that will surely have consequences for the league standings.

In Division 1, Factory FC shut out Finger Maignan 3-0, keeping their clean sheet intact. Fair Weather FC showed their dominance against Hussars FC with a 7-3 victory. COB FC managed to secure a 3-1 win against Madeleine Milan, demonstrating their power in the division.

Division 2 saw Angmering Allstars thrash LA Dairy Milk 7-1 in a one-sided affair. ReCog also put on a goal-scoring masterclass, defeating Colonel Getafe 11-2. The match between All The Gear No Idea and Brexit Tarring ended in a 3-3 draw, demonstrating the competitive nature of the division.

In Division 3, Backroom Benders managed a clean 5-0 sweep against Disunited. Diddys Dynamos edged out Lads on Toure 2-1 in a closely contested match. Little Boys From Worthing and Diddys Disciples FC shared the spoils in a 2-2 draw, while Big MacAllister & Fries pulled off a 4-2 win against Pathetico Madrid.

Despite the lack of official top scorers for each division this week, it was clear that teams such as Expected Toulouse, ReCog, and Backroom Benders had players who were in red-hot form. Fans will eagerly await next week's fixtures to see if these teams can maintain their momentum, and whether any new challengers will rise to the occasion.
