Sunday 10th August - Worthing Round-Up

It was an excellent evening's football in the Worthing Sunday 6 a side league this week, with all teams in attendance throughout the night for the final matches of the campaign.

In the Premier League division, the competition was tough. Foreigners FC faced Dynamo Chicken Kiev in a thrilling game that ended 6-4 in favour of Dynamo Chicken. The standout match of the division was undoubtedly between RJF FC and SDL FC, with SDL FC cruising to a staggering 9-0 victory. Meanwhile, Unnamed Kebab FC and Girthquake FC locked horns in a match that saw Girthquake edge out a 6-4 victory.

The Division 1 games were equally riveting. Chubby Alonsos and Benjamin Tesko opened the proceedings, with the latter clinching a 4-2 win. Bang Average FC and 6 Offenders clashed in a match that ended 7-4 to Bang Average FC.

In Division 2, PURPLE WANDERERS exceptional form continued as they kept a clean sheet against The Cheeky Blinders, winning 4-0. BNT RETURN also impressed, securing a 6-0 triumph over The Tutt Experience. In another close encounter, CTRL ALT DE LIGT were narrowly defeated 5-4 by Secure The Coin FC. Meanwhile, West Hammered and Mandem FC produced a goal-fest, ending 8-5 in favour of Mandem.

SDL FC emerged as the winners of the Premier League division, finishing with a total of 22 points and 10 wins. Bang Average FC claimed the Division 1 title with 23 points and 11 wins, and PURPLE WANDERERS took home the Division 2 title with a total of 27 points and 13 wins.
