Sunday 11th May - Worthing Round-Up

It was a good start to the new season overall in the Worthing Sunday 6 a side league this week, as all teams were in attendance for their matches barring a late cancellation from Goon Squad for the second week running, they have now been removed from the league.

In the Premier League, Dynamo Chicken Kiev started the season with an impressive 4-2 victory over Sompting Dragons, cementing their top spot early on in the season. SDL FC and Foreigners FC clashed in a goal-filled showdown, ending in a 4-4 draw. However, the highlight of the match day was undoubtedly CLASSIC XI's stunning 11-1 trouncing of Unnamed Kebab FC, setting a record for the highest scoring game of the day. Hakuna Juan Mata also started strong with a 4-2 win over Otters FC.

Division 1 witnessed a similarly thrilling start. 30 Second Finishers edged out Benjamin Tesko 4-3 in a tightly contested match. 6 Offenders began their campaign with a 4-2 win over Coman Her Face. However, the spotlight was on Chubby Alonsos, who outscored Mary Slurps 6-4.

In Division 2, BNT RETURN clinched a comfortable 3-0 victory over Secure The Coin FC. PURPLE WANDERERS made a powerful statement by defeating Blue Ballers 6-0. The Cheeky Blinders fell 3-1 against The Tutt Experience. Only Fools And Scorers also enjoyed a promising start to their season with a 5-2 win over NOARC.
