Sunday 12th December - Worthing Round-Up

It was a good evening's football in the Worthing Sunday 6 a side league this week, with all teams in attendance throughout the night as scheduled, the only exception being OLOTR who called the office to cancel which we thank them for, and return to action on Sunday 19th December.

High Salvington Gentlemen show no sign of letting up as they put in a 5 star performance this week, winning their fifth game in a row by a 5-0 scoreline against The Tutt Experience.  Fatzio remain in second place as they thrashed Classic XI by an 8-1 scoreline, but they remain three points off the leaders at this stage.  Real Le Sheet followed up their 5-4 defeat last week, with a 5-3 win over Weymouth Wanderers in a thoroughly entertaining clash.

Unnamed FC move to the top of the pile in Division One as they recorded a 2-0 win over Only Matip In, whilst Bobby Carlos Experience drop to second place as they could only manage a 4-4 draw in their game against bottom of the table Enter a Team Name Here, in a very entertaining game.  Third placed Suarez Is My Hamster lost ground on the top two places as they suffered an 8-4 reverse at the hands of Class on Grass, whilst The Rebels completed the action in the division as they were 3-2 winners against Breast Rummage Albion.

So Sompting Crew went to the top of the Division Two table this week as they were 3-1 winners over Unfitballers, whilst Sompting Dragons dropped to second place as they suffered a 5-2 reverse against third placed The Defeatables who are now just a point off this weeks opponents.  Bag Raiders moved up to fourth place this week after coming out on top of an entertaining encounter against Dragons, who they beat 4-3.  Elsewhere, Posh and Becks Vier were winners of a nine goal thriller, as they edged past Inter Ya Nan by a 5-4 scoreline in an end to end game.

We wish all teams good luck going into the final games before the Christmas break, when the league will be cancelled for one week before returning on 2nd January 2022.
