Sunday 16th May - Worthing Round-Up

It was a good evening's football in the Worthing Sunday 6 a side league with all teams in attendance throughout the night across both divisions as scheduled.

Just a single point separates the top five teams in the Premier Division after five games of the season.  High Salvington Gentlemen lead the way on goal difference as they won 4-1 in their match up against Weymouth Wanderers, whilst AFC Romania were 4-2 winners over Row Z Rovers to keep up the pressure.  Mas Dog Academy moved into third place with a 4-3 win over Time For Soccer who they leapfrogged in the process.

Bag Raiders perfect start to the campaign stretched into a fifth week as they brushed aside The Bobby Carlos Experience, a 5-1 win their reward for a dominant performance.  Tutt Experience sit in second place but lost ground on top spot by a further point after they could only manage a 2-2 draw against bottom placed So Sompting Crew. Rebels and Lahmageddon are just off the pace in third and fourth and both picked up wins again this week to sit a point off second.

Game of the night was undoubtedly the 18 goal thriller which Enter a Team Name Here ran out 11-7 winners over Dragons in an incredible game of football!  Elsewhere Real Le Sheet continue to lead the way in Division Two as they made it 5 wins in a row, a 4-0 win over Unfitballers their latest triumph.

We thank all teams for their continued reliability and commitment and were delighted to see the league return in such style after a one week break due to the local elections.

We wish all teams the best of luck heading into game week 6 with Worthing's premier provider of small sided football!
