Sunday 28th August - Worthing Round-Up

It was a good evening's football overall in the Worthing Sunday 6 a side league this week, with all teams in attendance throughout the night as scheduled, with the only exceptions being TTM FC, The Not So Try Hards, Breast Rummage Albion and Chicken Tiki-Taka who all cancelled due to the Bank Holiday Weekend but return oon Sunday 4th September.

Fatzio went to the top of the Premier Division at a crucial time of the season as they were 1-0 winners over High Salvington Gentlemen who dropped to third place and a point off the summit, whilst Real Le Sheet moved into second place as they were 5-3 winners of an entertaining game against She Was Only XI, putting them level on points with the leaders, although they will need to better the leaders result this weekend due to the superior goal difference.  Nevertheless it is still exciting that one of three teams could still take the title on the last week!

In Division One, due to the cancellations there were three 5-0 walkovers, although The Rebels look to have secured themselves promotion with their 8-1 thrashing of relegated Chicken Tikka Mo Salah, the second placed teams superior goal difference sees them look all but up, joining leaders Inter Ya Nan.

Division Two looks set for an exciting climax going into the final week of the season.  Although leaders Sompting Dragons have had a comfortable season, a 3-1 win over Hakuna Juan Mata their latest triumph, with the losers now being one of three teams vying for the second promotion slot on the final game of the season as they, Petr Cech Yourself and Milf Hunters are all tied on points!
