Sunday 31st October - Worthing Round-Up

It was another excellent evening's football in the Worthing Sunday 6 a side league this week which saw all teams in attendance throughout the night as scheduled, and some excellent matches played across all divisions as we played the penultimate round of fixtures for the season.

High Salvington Gentlemen were made to work hard for their 12th win in 13 games this week, as Fatzio put up an excellent performance this week as they looked to secure a second place finish for themselves this week.  It was not to be though as Salvington showed their class and edged past by a 2-1 scoreline.  Tutt Experience sealed a second place finish for themselves with a game to spare, as they were 4-0 winners over The Rebels.

Weymouth Wanderers promotion from Division One was already confirmed going into this week so they could play with no pressure.  They do however still want to take the league title and after a 4-3 defeat to Bobby Carlos, coupled with a 4-2 win for Real Le Sheet means they go into the final game of the season needing a point at least to confirm this.

Enter a Team Name Here and Unnamed FC have confirmed their respective promotions from Division Two this week.  Top of the table Enter a Team Name were 5-4 winners over Inter Ya Nan whilst second placed Unnamed FC were 5-2 winners over The Defeatables. It is a straight shoot out going into the final game of the season as both meet.  Nothing less than a win will do for second placed Unnamed who trail by a point, and it proves to be a fascinating encounter to round the season off!
