Sunday 6th August - Worthing Round-Up

It was a superb evening's action in the season opener in the Worthing Sunday 6 a side league this week, with all teams in attendance for their matches as scheduled throughout the night and some excellent football played.

In the Premier League, TTM FC narrowly edged out Fatzio in a high-scoring affair, with TTM FC emerging victorious with a 5-4 scoreline, leaving the defending champions licking their wounds after a rare defeat.  Meanwhile, Jong HSG dominated DFC with a convincing 4-1 win, securing their place at the top of the division. Notably, THE BOBBY CARLOS EXPERIENCE were in fine form, emerging as 5-0 winners against Mc Bigwangs FC.

In Division 1, UnNamed FC started their campaign on a high note with a hard-fought 3-2 victory over BadABing Boys. The match was closely contested, displaying the competitiveness of the division. SHE WAS ONLY XI showcased their defensive stability with a resounding 3-0 win against Farcelona FC, while Mambo No5 Turned 6 proved their attacking prowess by defeating Foreigners FC 4-1. Khedira Pin Drop were the standout team in this division, notching an impressive 16-3 victory against Hakuna Juan Mata.

Division 2 witnessed some intense battles as well. Chicken Tikka Mo Salah narrowly defeated The Tutt Experience with a 3-2 scoreline, highlighting the competitive nature of the division. Coman Her Face emerged as dominant winners, triumphing 4-1 against The Cheeky Blinders. Hairline FC secured a hard-fought 2-1 victory against Only Fools And Scorers, while Maradona Kebab showcased their attacking prowess with a convincing 6-1 win against Captain Stacker FC.

As the season has just begun, it is still early days, but these results have set the tone for what promises to be an exciting campaign in the Worthing Sunday Football League. We can look forward to witnessing more thrilling matches as teams battle it out to claim supremacy in their respective divisions.
