A thrilling night of football unfolded in the Premier League division of the Stamford Sunday 6-a-side football league this week. Week 3 of the season brought exhilaration and some surprising results that have left fans and players alike buzzing with anticipation for the forthcoming weeks.

In a closely contested match, New boys Wizard of Ozil managed to secure a narrow victory over WIT6, with a closing scoreline of 1 - 0. Despite the loss, WIT6's Jason Gill-Rowe was the standout player of the week, he managed to use almost every single body part to deny the barrage of chances from the league newbie, as chance after chance rebounded off him.  WIT6 were just not clinical enough and the opposition goal was rarely threatened. 

Meanwhile, another nail-biting match unfolded between Luka Is Goated and Woowaweewa Wonderers.  George fired an early rocket that hit both uprights and crossing the goal line to surprise the league leaders.  Luka regrouped and got on with managing the task.  Tom equalised before Jack put Luka in front from the spot.  Jack was on fire in the middle of the park and managed to bag another in the sound half - Woowa were having none of it and their hard work was rewarded when Toby squeezed one passed a surprised Kian to close the gap.  The game closed with Luka Is Goated securing a 3-2 victory. Jack Jones, of Luka Is Goated, emerged as the top scorer in the Premier League division of Stamford Sunday, netting 2 goals in this exhilarating match.
