In the electrifying world of 6 a side football, Stamford Sunday League continued with its second week of nail-biting action. The spotlight shone brightly on the Premier League division, showcasing a fierce winner-stays-on battle on the pitch that left spectators on the edge of their seats.
The gripping face-off between the Wizard of Ozil, WIT6 and Luka Is Goated saw the former clinch a resounding victory with a scoreline of 6-1-2. The night belonged to Wizard of Ozil who dominated the match, exhibiting a strong offensive and defensive strategy, proving their mettle in the Premier League division.
A few of the 5 minute mini battles remained goalless as neither team could break the deadlock. However other games lasted less than a minute as strikers proved deadly at times. Kyle Andrew scored a hat trick and spent the rest of the games trying to goad players into committing silly fouls.
The WIT6 stand in keeper Alex had a brick wall effect in a couple of games as nobody could get past him.
Good to see Matt Couzens back on the scoresheet after what feels like a whole season of no goals. Fluke didn't favour Kian either this week as he failed to "ping" a goal ...... pass, what we mean is that his preferred method of going long didn't work, at all, ever, this week, again.
