Stamford Sunday 6 a side news 2024-03-03

Tonight marked the thrilling sixth week of action in the Stamford Sunday 6-a-side Football League, and the Premier League division certainly did not disappoint.

WIT6 played Inter Yanan in the first fixture of the evening.  the 0-3 scoreline didn't tell the full story of this evenly contested tie.  Real end to end football and a very talented shotstopper who refused to concede was the key difference.

In a standout match, Borussia Muddledandbadbach tackled Luka Is Goated, yielding a thrilling clash of football prowess. Despite the determination of Borussia Muddledandbadbach, it was Luka Is Goated that emerged victorious, with a resounding victory of 5-1.

The undisputed star of the week was Mat Couzens of Luka Is Goated. Not only did he lead his team to a decisive win, but he also managed to earn the title of the week's top scorer. With an impressive four goals that all fizzed past an unsuspecting stand-in keeper. Couzens easily outpaced his Premier League compatriots. His exceptional performance, undeniable talent and contribution to the team's victory earned him the coveted title of the Most Valued Player of the week.  Harry didn't get booked or shout profanities at anyone - he was even awarded a free kick for a foul against him!  Daniel Mason scored an absolute worldy that had all the hallmarks of Rooney from halfway (alright so it's a tiny six a side pitch).  The game was end to end stuff but ultimately Borussia could find a clinical edge where Luka did.  If Mat hadn't secured man of the match with 4 goals then Kian would've been in the running with, for once, some decent distribution.  But he did get lobbed form halfway too so unlucky pal.

Stay tuned for more updates on the upcoming matches and to see if Couzens can maintain his extraordinary scoring streak in the Premier League Division. Who knows what the next week of Stamford Sunday league football will bring!
