Stamford Leisure Leagues – 2 November Round-Up
A chilly Sunday night at Stamford saw three fiercely contested matches as the Leisure Leagues campaign rolled into another crucial week. With the top of the table tight and teams scrapping for every point, there was no shortage of drama across the evening.

Game 1: Gangsters Allardyce 1–0 Owen’s Nan FC
The night kicked off with a tense affair as Gangsters Allardyce picked up a much-needed win over Owen’s Nan FC. After a string of tough results, Gangsters finally found their rhythm, edging out their opponents thanks to a determined performance and a goal from Seb Mills, who also took home Man of the Match honours. The result lifts Gangsters’ spirits and closes the gap on the teams above them, while Owen’s Nan’s struggles continue as they look to rediscover their early-season form.

Game 2: Borussia Muddledandbadbach 0–3 1 Log 5 Men
In one of the night’s surprises, 1 Log 5 Men produced an excellent display to defeat second-placed Borussia Muddledandbadbach. Goals from Riley (MOTM), Lenny, and Austin secured an impressive 3–0 win, breathing new life into their campaign. For Broussia, it was a rare off night as they failed to find the net and surrendered ground in the title race, slipping behind in-form leaders Game of Throwins.
⸻
Game 3: Auberge FC 1–1 Game of Throwins
The evening’s final match was a top-of-the-table clash between Auberge FC and league leaders Game of Throwins, and it lived up to the billing. Both sides traded blows in an evenly matched contest that finished 1–1. Luke 2 was on target for Auberge and earned Man of the Match, while Dan D and Freddy Fisk stood out for Throwins. The result means Throwins retain their spot at the summit, but Auberge stay hot on their heels just two points behind in third.

With those results, the league table is tightening up — Game of Throwins remain in first but have their lead trimmed, Borussia stumble in second, and Auberge continue to apply pressure in third. At the other end, Gangsters Allardyce finally get their reward for persistence, while Owen’s Nan FC will be desperate to bounce back next week.
