Sunday 16th January - Stamford Round-Up

It was another good evening's football this week in the Stamford Sunday 6 a side league, which saw all teams in attendance for their games as scheduled including Elsea Park Allstars who returned to action this week after cancellation on 9th January!

There are five teams tied on four points at this early stage of the campaign which promises for an interesting season ahead!  Not Very Athletic's 5-0 walkover sees them at the top of the pile.  Gopping Lizards inflicted a 3-0 defeat on Hansi Flick My Balls, whilst Sex Drugs and Carlton Cole edged past Xavi Dodgers by a 2-1 scoreline.  Elsewhere Elsea Park's return to action was a fruitful one, as they put in a very assured performance with a 5-2 victory over Luka Is Goated.

We are pleased to confirm that new team Morton FC will be getting started with us this weekend (Sunday 23rd January), and we wish these the best of luck going into their opening fixture against Sex Drugs and Carlton Cole!
