Sunday 19th June - Stamford Round-Up

It was another good evening's football in the Stamford Sunday 6 a side league this week, with all teams in attendance for their matches, the only exception being a late cancellation from Raki Raiders who we thank for calling Head Office and look forward to seeing return on Sunday 26th June!

Champagne Super Rovers were shocked this week as the leaders now have only goal difference keeping them from second spot, they were beaten 3-2 by Luka is Goated in a shock result!  Hansi Flick had a 5-0 walkover thanks to the above cancellation so this has really opened the title race up again with 5 games to go!  The top two meet on the final game of the season in five weeks time so it is set for a mouth watering conclusion to the season!

New boys Fill Her Wycombe look a useful addition to the league as the young side got a second win on the spin since joining as they overcame Xavi Dodgers by a comfortable enough 3-1 margin.  Completing the action for the week was Gopping Lizards who got their third win of the campaign after edging past Woowa by a single goal.
