Sunday 26th June - Stamford Round-Up
It was another good evening's football in the Stamford Sunday 6 a side league this week, with the only disappointment being a non-attendance from Xavi Dodgers who will be spoken to and confirmed to return on Sunday 3rd July.
In the league games which took place there were some significant results at the top, as the two top sides were convincingly beaten 4-0! Leaders Champagne Super Rovers were humbled by Fill Her Wycombe, and second placed Hansi Flick were unable to capitalise as they suffered the same fate against Gopping Lizards!
Those results mean out of nowhere Raki Raiders are now dark horses to take the title, as they were 3-2 winners over Luka Is Goated to put themselves within one win of the top two sides! It certainly makes for an interesting end to the season for all involved!
