Sunday 27th February - Stamford Round-Up

Overall it was a good evening's football in the Stamford Sunday 6 a side league this week, which saw all teams in attendance for their matches as scheduled, and some excellent football on display throughout the night.

Gopping Lizards went top of the table by a single goal after this weeks matches, they were 3-1 winners over Sex, Drugs and Carlton Cole whilst Hansi Flick dropped to second place despite their 1-0 win over new boys Stuart Survivors.

Raki Raiders won the battle of the bottom two this week as they were convincing 3-0 winners over Luka is Goated to bring themselves level on points with the seventh placed team.  Completing the action was the goalless draw between Not So Athletic and Xavi Dodgers, in what was Athletic's final game in the league due to a lack of players meaning they want to withdraw for now.  We hope to welcome them back in the future.
