Sunday 5 Mar 23 - Stamford League Round-Up
Another week of friendly, competitive 6 a side football at Stamford Athletic Football Club.
Cali Mashers ran out eventual 4 - 3 winners against the Gopping Lizards in a tightly contested match, thrown away by a shabby display in goal by what can only be described as a decrepit old man with poor decision making skills and bad life choices; but that shouldn't detract from the decent hat-trick from Sam Crane.
Woowaweewa Wonderers didn't really come alive until the second half but by then it was too late as they were already 3 - 0 down. The second half saw a flurry of chances, including a spirited solo effort from Woowa's centre half, threaten the Luka is Goated goal but nothing decisive came and the clean sheet remained intact.
Next Sunday sees the top of the table clash between Balotelli Tubbies and Luka is Goated - Jake better not still be 'knackered' from last week!
