Sunday 9th January - Stamford Round-Up

Overall it was a good evening's football in the Stamford Sunday 6 a side league this week.  We were however disappointed to see a second consecutive failure to attend from The Red Hoops of Bourne, who we've now removed from the league with immediate effect. 

On a positive note, we welcomed new team Sex Drugs and Carlton Cole to the league this week, they recorded an impressive 1-0 win on their debut in the league, overcoming Gopping Lizards in a hard fought encounter.

Xavi Dodgers ran out 5-3 winners in an entertaining encounter against Not Very Athletic.

We had a late cancellation from Elsea Park Allstars who we thank for calling us and look forward to seeing return on Sunday 16th January.
