WEEKLY NEWS FROM THE STAMFORD SUNDAY LEAGUE 22ND AUGUST

It was another superb evening of football again in the Sunday night 6 a side at Zeeco Stadium in Stamford with some high scoring games being played out in the two divisions. 

Some of the highlights of the night include some toughly fought games, firstly in the premier division, as Pwift yet again win in style as they beat new boys Hansi Flick my Balls 6-3. Elsewhere, fellow unbeaten side Gopping Lizards beat Elsea Park Allstars who surprisingly see themselves bottom of the division.

In Division 1, we saw new boys Deez nuts continue at the top of the table as they won their points match 5-0. We had a surprising no show in this division as The Inglorious Barnacks did not let anyone at head office know that they were not attending their game. So they will be charged double match fees for next week. In the other game in the division, James Tilly's "The Red Hoops of Bourne" defeated AMS by a scoreline of 2-1.
